Can anyone tell me how I might pass the calling argument to rsnapshot
(hourly, daily, weekly etc)

To a post_exex script at the post_exec call inside rsnapshot.conf?

That is, how to tell post_exec script what mode rsnapshot was called in.

Harry,

Please bear in mind that cmd_postexec is only invoked for the lowest
interval (if sync_first=0) or for rsnapshot sync (if sync_first=1).

Thanks .. good to know. But to make sure... Apparently the default is

sync_first=0

And I've not changed that. So, the post_exec script would only be
called on `hourly' or I guess it is now called `alpha' runs?. I can
count on that being the argument passed to rsnapshot when post_exec if
fired?
